Police released surveillance images as part of a New York Crimestoppers Alert with images of the alleged suspect wanted in the shooting, which records showed took place outside of a restaurant on West 38th Street near Seventh Avenue. The New York Police Department did not name Boyd when sharing a 29-year-old man was shot in the abdomen and taken to hospital with critical wounds. Reporting by the New York Post, citing police sources, identified vehicles leaving the scene after shots were fired at 2:06 a.m. ET on Sunday as a BMW X8 SUV and a Mercedes-Benz Maybach.
The Jets did not comment directly on Boyd's health, but teammates went public to ask for prayers for Boyd.
