Team opens exhibition schedule on Aug. 9 at State Farm Stadium
Zach Gershman
In 2023, Jonathan Gannon's first season as the Cardinals' head coach, the Cardinals played the Chiefs and Broncos in the preseason.
They'll face those familiar opponents once again as the team set its dates and times on Tuesday for its preseason slate, beginning when Kansas City visits State Farm Stadium Aug. 9 at 5 p.m.
The Cardinals will travel to Denver the following week to play the Broncos on Aug. 16 at 6:30 p.m. Arizona time. The preseason will conclude at State Farm Stadium as the Cardinals host the Raiders on Aug. 23 at 7 p.m.
Valley residents can watch all three preseason games on Arizona's Family, while Tucson viewers can tune into KOLD News 13. Those in Northern Arizona, Yuma, and Albuquerque, New Mexico can watch on Arizona's Family Sports. The NFL Network will also simulcast the games against the Chiefs and Broncos.

The matchup against the Chiefs will be a good test right out of the gates for the Cardinals. Historically, Andy Reid has played his starters, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, a considerable amount. The Cardinals revamped defensive unit will likely face key contributors to the Chiefs' run to the Super Bowl.
It's the third consecutive season that the Cardinals will face the Broncos, and the second in Denver. Bo Nix flashed plenty throughout the 2024 season, and while it's unclear how much the Cardinals might see the second-year quarterback, they'll be tasked with lining up against another team who cracked the 2024 postseason.
Pete Carroll roaming the sidelines at State Farm Stadium is not unusual. The longtime Seahawks head coach had been in the NFC West since 2010. However, it'll take a moment to get used to seeing Carroll wearing the silver and black.
