In her real life Sherrie Martin is a practicing Realtor, a physical comedian, a grandma, and a gymnast.
She performs her one-woman shows around the country. The first 'I Will Sell This House Today,' is a one-hour show about a Realtor who tries to sell a house on stage. Currently performing her second show in the Valley, F lympics, is about a sixty-year-old lady who tries for the 11th time to get into the 2020 Olympics. True to her love, Sherrie performs acrobatics and tumbling in each show, usually in the finale scene.
Sherrie Martin is a 60 years old gymnast and comedic actor. Her competitive gymnastics covers fifty years. At the age of fifty-one Sherrie started up private gymnastics lessons at a gym in her home town of Spokane, Washington, her only goal being to learn a kip.
Today, nine years later, she competes excel gold and recently scored a 9.25 on bars in Las Vegas. At the age of 58 she also competes a handspring vault at meets.
"At the age of 12, while sitting in my first ever health education class, I decided all I ever wanted to be was healthy. Finishing college with a degree in Health Education, I began my life-long quest of health, fitness and (surprisingly) performance."
Sherrie Martin
Sherrie appeals to people her own age as they love watching one of their own doing amazing things and it is motivating. For the younger set, wonder and amazement make even the youngest youth want to grow old and be like Sherrie.
With her life's work seemingly unrelated, she shares her entire self with others doing so as a business owner, gymnast, Realtor and comedic actor. It genuinely has taken a lifetime of work to become Sherrie and if you think about it, without all these ingredients she would have less to give.
Come see Sherrie's show, F lympics. You ll feel like you just met the female version of Jack Lalane!
Opening for Sherrie is Brian Foley, Vaudeville Boy. Brian Foley has been a variety performer since 1990. The Associate Artistic Director of the World Clown Festival in China, he has appeared on television, in festivals, on cruise ships, and theatres globally. He is the little impresario at Valley Variety, a monthly vaudeville show featuring local and international artists in downtown Phoenix. He produces entertainment for special events and maybe even for you! Learn more at vvphx.com #supportlocalarts
